By Linda Jones (www.wirejewellery.co.uk)

Materials:  0.5mm black cotton cord, 0.8mm silver-plated wire, 5 x heart shell beads, ready made jump rings, lobster clasp.

Tools:  Round and chain nosed pliers, wire cutters.
(materials can be found here)

Follow all steps 1 – 5 of the Necklace project to create the cord base of the bracelet.

  1. Follow step 8 of the Necklace project – threading 5 of the shell beads with 0.8mm wire, creating a flattened spiral headpin at one end and a link at the other.
  2. Attach the shell beads at intervals onto the plaited cord using jump rings.
  3. To wear the bracelet, wrap it around the wrist several times, threading the clasp end through the corded loop to keep the braided lengths together.  Fasten the clasp into the corded loop to secure, or clip into onto any of the jump rings.
